Did you know that the Downards lived next door to the family of Alexander Brandon Ervin while Clarrisa and Cynthia were there? The house is still there on Mulga Rd., Twp. Rd. 39. I've always said that these two were nannies to Downard's kids.
And don't take the LDS church very seriously in this work. You'll see this all the time since they do so much geneological work so they can join all their ancestors with the LDS church by proxy and join them in heaven.
These people did not join the LDS church in life. They are taken in by proxy after death.

Lisa, this is what I have on George's daughter?, Clarissa. Her relationship with Samuel Downard is very mysterious as he seems to have fathered three of her children but never married her. I'm wondering if they were maybe polygamous since some of the children are said to be members of "The Church of the Latter-day Saints". However, I believe the church there in town was actually a "Reorganized" branch of the church that didn't believe in polygamy. Weird.
