Having only joined about a year ago, I became aware of the research contained herein, especially around Samuel and that a lot posted here occurred 10-12 years ago. Still yet F/S does not list sources or contain facts. Realizing facts are discovered through extended research (few and far between) they are far outnumbered by questions. And I have also observed that this website appears to be a micro section of F/S record keeping and contributes to structure of F/S. I have used F/S for facts storage and occasionally conjured up possible 'faux families without facts' within my line in search for documented sources and successfully established my GGrandfather's existence which I did not know before, so for my purposes F/S is great because it requires sources to be posted when making entries. YDNA shows relative linkages but does not establish how they are linked. Combining the two websites (informationally) is the endeavored art of ErvinHistory.com through discovery and communication and efforts are appreciated for the contributions by all Ervin Clan contributors. Thank you for this FORUM.

Dead Ending

I am the sole surviving son for my blood line that extends (somehow) from the Samuel branch of the tree. Having given my DNA test results gives me some satisfaction in knowing from whom I was created and am kind of sorry that I will not be survived by sons to carry on this line. Cremation and burial-at-sea will not give rise to a headstone to be viewed and by which remembered a hundred years after my passing.
