Mollie Louise Ritter, 79, of Centerville, Iowa Obituary

CENTERVILLE — Mollie Louise Ritter, 79, of Centerville, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 at Centerville Nursing & Rehab in Centerville.

She was born the daughter of David B. and Lena (Besse) Ervin on Nov. 6, 1931 near Cincinnati. She graduated from the Cincinnati Community Schools.

On May 8, 1954, Mollie Louise was united in marriage to Robert Ritter in Cincinnati. She worked for a time at McGraw-Edison in Centerville and would later do home health aide work in and around Appanoose County. She enjoyed working her many flower beds and taking care of her family, as well as attending her grandchildren's many events.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Ruth Ritter on Sept. 7, 2005; and brothers, Albert "Swede" Ervin, James Ervin, John Ervin and Eugene Ervin.

Mollie Louise is survived by: her husband, Robert Ritter of Centerville; sons, Bobby Ritter of Cincinnati and Rex Ritter of Exline; a sister, Roberta Glovas of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Benjamin and Shannon; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the Rev. Alberta Ervin officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati. Visitation will be held today with the family present from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
